Buying
Is the photograph the animal I will receive?
Yes. Every photograph on this site is of that specific animal, taken under the lighting stated beside it and dated. We do not use stock photography and we do not post-process colour.
Why is there no cart?
This site is a record, not a shop. There is no cart, no checkout and no ordering path; prices, where shown, are display information only. Reservations happen on stream or by writing to us.
Can I hold something?
Yes, for seven days without payment. Longer than that and it goes back on the floor, because an animal in a hold tank is not being seen by anyone.
Keeping
What parameters do you keep?
KH 8.4, calcium 430, magnesium 1350, 25–26 °C. They are on every animal’s page because matching them before it ships is the single biggest thing you can do.
What lighting is that photograph under?
20K white with the blues at forty percent unless the caption says otherwise. Colour under actinic looks very different, which is why we state it.
Will it look like that in my tank?
Not immediately, and possibly not ever — colour is a response to light, flow and feeding. That is a fact about corals, not a disclaimer.
Shipping
When do you ship?
Overnight only, Tuesday or Wednesday, never into a weekend, and only when the forecast along the route allows it.
What if I am not home?
Reschedule with the carrier before it ships. An unattended box is the main cause of loss and is not covered.
