A drop is a batch that opens for sale at one moment rather than trickling onto the site. We run them because the alternative — listing animals as they finish settling — rewards whoever happens to refresh the page at the right second. An announced time is the same for everyone.

Everything becomes reservable at the stated minute. First come.
Held and shipped
Reserved animals move to a hold tank for at least seven days before they travel.
How a drop actually works
Is a drop the same as a stream?
No. Most drops are preceded by a stream covering what is in them, but the two are separate: a stream can happen with nothing opening, and a drop can open with no stream that week.
What does reserving do?
It takes the animal off the display floor into a named hold tank. Nothing is charged until we have agreed a shipping week with you.
What if I miss it?
Anything unsold stays in the catalogue at its own address. A drop is a moment, not a container — the record outlives it either way.
