Aquacultured

Distinct from maricultured (grown on the reef on a frame) and wild-collected. Aquacultured animals arrive already adapted to captive light, flow and food, which is most of why they survive the move.

The word is not regulated, which is why we write the raceway a coral came out of rather than the adjective. Where we cannot trace something past a certain year, the record says so; a gap written as a gap is worth more than a plausible farm name invented to fill it.
